Fixing the QuickBooks Online Export Error: “Object Reference Not Set to an Instance of an Object”

This can occur when QuickBooks Online does a update or user permission roles change with QuickBooks Online that impact the connection between Razorsync and QBO

How to Guide To Resolve

  1. Click the Settings gear icon in RazorSync and select QuickBooks.
  2. Hit Disconnect from QuickBooks. You'll see a warning pop up; go ahead and click Confirm (since you’re not switching accounts, this is safe).
  3. Before you start: Make sure you can log in to your QuickBooks Online account as an Admin. You must have admin permissions, or RazorSync won’t reconnect properly.
  4. After disconnecting, look for the green Connect button. Click it, and follow the prompts to sign into QuickBooks Online.
  5. Once reconnected, try exporting your invoice again—most times, this solves the issue on the spot!

💡 Pro-Tip :
Keep your QuickBooks admin credentials handy! When reconnecting, having the right login avoids delays and lets your team keep invoicing without interruption.
