How to Create a Payments Report in RazorSync

You can build a custom Payments Report using the Ad Hoc reporting feature. This guide will walk you through creating a detailed report that displays invoice and payment information for any date range.

Steps to Create Your Payments Report:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the plus (+) icon at the top of the screen to create a new report.
  3. In the pop-up window, select Financial, then Payments, and click Add.
  4. Enter a Report Title (e.g., "Payments Report").
  5. Fill out the Description field (this is required and cannot be left blank).
  6. Set your default Payment Date filter (e.g., "Last 30 days" for monthly reporting).
  7. Build your report results by dragging fields from the left sidebar into the report builder:
    • From the Invoice folder: Add Invoice Number, Invoice Create Date, and Invoice Amount.
    • From the Payment folder: Add Payment Number, Payment Date, Payment Method, and Payment Amount.
    • From the Customer folder: Add Customer Display Name.
  8. (Optional) To filter by a specific payment type (e.g., cash only), drag the Payment Method field to the filter section and select your desired option from the dropdown.
  9. Rearrange fields by dragging them left or right in the results section as needed.
  10. Click Save in the top right corner, then confirm by clicking Save again in the pop-up.
