You can create an ongoing job all at once to make sure you don't forget about your recurring customers. Plus the recurring work order can be assigned to a Field Worker right away!
Create a Recurring Service Request
To add a recurring Service, you click on the customer and than click Add Service Request, complete entering the information into the fields and click Recurrence while entering a new Service Request. Once you click 'Recurrence' a pop up menu will appear to allow you set the various preferences for the Service Request.
From here, you can schedule the Services Request to reoccur based on your customer's needs, allowing you to change how often the Service Request occurs over any period of time.
Recurrence Frequency
Daily: This can be used for week long jobs or jobs that need to happen every couple of days. (This option can be seen above.)
Weekly: This can be used to schedule jobs, every week, or every other week, whatever time period that is needed. You also get to choose which day of the week this job will recur.
Monthly: There are many options for monthly recurrences. It can happen on a certain date of each month or it can happen on a specific day of the month. For example the third Tuesday of each month. You can also choose the number of months between each Work Order. For example Bi-Monthly would be every 3 months.
Time Period
This sets the length of your recurrence. It can be a maximum of 3 years.
- Start and End Date: Time start date is the day services will start. The end date last day of services for this customer in regards to this specific job. For example if the job starts 04/01/2023 and they have have a year of the same service the last date would be 04/01/2024.
- Start and End Time. This is the amount of time that this job is going to take each day that it is scheduled.
Last Step: Now that the recurrence has been set up for the service request, you will need to finish filling out the Service Request Details and then finally hit the Add or Save button.
This is how the Work Order will appear showing the Recurring Work Orders for the customer.
Additional Options to Consider:
- You must choose a start time and an end time for Recurring Services Request so they show up on the schedule.
- The Service Request and Work Order will show up as unassigned if a Field Worker is not selected.
NOTE: Service Requests are distinguishable as "Recurring" by the two arrows creating a circle symbol. After the recurrence is created a new Work Order will appear on your schedule for each day it reoccurs, depending on the frequency you set.
